Donatella Versace's schedule.

MY LIST: DONATELLA VERSACE IN 24 HOURS.

If there was a chance to live your life like that of  a popular designer's  for one day, there would be millions of  fashion addicts or anyone for that matter lining up to snatch it. But here's something closer- An actual designer's 24hr schedule. I can live with that ;p
  • 7 blowouts a week (at least), 50 leather pants, 12 pieces of luggage, 11 — the age Gianni turned her blonde...The designer shares her schedule
8:00 A.M. I wake up at about the same time every day. I sleep well and wake without an alarm clock. I sleep in a silk nightgown from Sabbia Rosa in Paris. The first thing I do each morning is get out of bed and give my dog, Audrey, a hug. She's a Jack Russell. I think having an animal is a wonderful thing, particularly dogs. They are great levelers, there's no nonsense with them, and they just want simple affection. Then I get ready for my workout. I do cardio and weights for 45 minutes, four days a week. I do think that exercise is important, not only to keep you in shape but also for your state of mind. However, I am not fanatical about it. As with most things in my life, I believe you should try to enjoy yourself and never feel like you are a slave to a routine.

8:45 A.M. I take a shower to freshen up. Then I prepare for the day with my beauty regimen. While this is well practiced, it is pretty functional. I have some trusted products that I use regularly. For my skin, it's French almond oil, Dr. Hauschka Quince Day Cream, and By Terry Pureté de Rose gel and Douceur de Rose cleansing cream. I use various products for my hair; I don't really have favorites. And my hair is pretty easy to take care of. My brother Gianni turned me blonde late one night when I was 11, and I have never looked back. As for makeup, I love luminous skin, a nude lip with lip balm, and smoky eyes. Then I reach for my perfume, which is Versace Vanitas, naturally! I put on my working clothes. These tend to be variations on a theme: tight black pants, a long-sleeved shirt, a black leather Versace blouson, and, of course, high heels. I always wear high heels—I simply feel naked without them. I also love well-chosen accessories, and I will usually pick out a couple of pieces from my personal collection of fine jewelry. What I select depends on what I'm wearing, but I'm lucky enough to own beautiful fine jewels, and I have lots to choose from. My favorite piece is a yellow diamond ring Gianni gave me after my first Versus show.

9:45 A.M. It takes about an hour for me to get ready in total. The whole process is accompanied by music. I adore rock music; it is my passion, and it is never too early to have a blast of it. I have a quick breakfast of fruit salad and a fruit juice. Being Italian, I obviously prefer coffee to tea, and in the morning it will be a cappuccino. Later in the day, I'll drink espressos.

10:00 A.M. I pick up my bag, one from the Versace Vanitas collection. In it are two iPhones (one Italian number and one U.S. number), a BlackBerry, a notebook, and work papers. I collect Audrey, and we leave for the car that takes me to work every day. On the way I start to make phone calls. I prefer to speak to people face-to-face or on the phone. I am not a great one for e-mail correspondence. I also start to read the papers in the car. I read La Repubblica, Corriere della Sera, and the International Herald Tribune, and at work I always take a look at the huffington post.com and thedailybeast.com on my computer. I am a bit of a news fanatic.

10:30 A.M. I arrive at work at around 10:30 A.M. every day, and the first thing I do is go over any pending matters with my assistant and my head of PR. Then, if everything is under control, my assistant goes over my e-mails with me. I get about 100 e-mails a day and receive about 20 phone calls. It may be more, but my assistant is great, and she fields a lot of things to help keep me focused on my work.

11:00 A.M. After that, I jump into meetings, meetings, meetings. The most important of these for me are design meetings and fittings. But there are meetings about everything. As creative director of a fashion house that has several collections, creates interiors, fragrances, and accessories, and has even developed hotels and resorts, there is a lot of detail to attend to. Plus, it is my job to be the custodian of the brand. I have to make sure that everything we do fits perfectly with the Versace vision. This is particularly important for us, as the sexy and glamorous look established by my brother Gianni is so famous. I have evolved this, of course, to move with the times, but we always stay true to our established DNA. To ensure that requires one-on-one conversations with all the people involved with the brand.

1:00 P.M. I have a quick lunch in the office: salad with protein, especially fish. I don't do big lunches out of the office; I am simply too busy. Apart from that, like most Italians, I am sustained by a few espressos and lots of water with ice and lemon. The working afternoon follows the same pattern as the morning–more meetings!

7:00 P.M. I leave for home with Audrey at around 7:00 P.M. in my car. If I am going out with friends, I will get changed–while listening to rock music like Prince and Lenny Kravitz–and head out to see them. But if I am staying in, which I do most of the time when I am in Milan, I eat at home. Though there are some really great places to eat out in Milan, home is still the best restaurant. And if I am entertaining, it will be on an intimate scale, so no big production in the kitchen–just great, simple Italian food, like pasta and grilled fish, and salad. I don't cook, but I love angel hair with pesto.

9:00 P.M. If I am on my own, I might watch some TV. I only watch the news on TV. Otherwise I catch up on movies on DVD. Recently I watched The Help, The Ides of March, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I'm also a big fan of Downton Abbey.

10:00 P.M. I take a candlelit bath with scented oils and bath salts to unwind. Afterward I rub myself with a perfumed body cream–it feels like a wonderful indulgence and gets me in the mood for bed. I do like my bedroom: It is very Versace, full of Versace Home products, which include the sheets, pillows, and duvet. Because it's such a welcoming environment, I might get into bed relatively early. In my nightdress! I like to read a good book in bed.

11:30 P.M. Bedtime. The light goes out and I usually fall asleep quite quickly, thinking about what the following day might bring.

Wow that's one luxury of a life!! I especially loved that she sleeps in a silk gown (beauty sleep outfit), her beauty regime, getting ready while listening to rock music and has her diet in check even with the hectic schedule.
